12 Days of Christmas 2011

Day 1: Christmas Tree

Over at my paper crafting blog Creative Scraps by Peggy Lee you can read in more depth about how and you can create this CTMH card stock, stamps, inks and some embellishments.
Created with a paper cone base, then glued the paper cones on, added some glitter and little saying to start off my creative side of the Holidays.

                                                           Day 2: Paper Cone Ornament

I just love this photo of our shed in our backyard, the fresh fallen icy snow is so beautiful at the dawn of the morning, drinking a cup of coffee and soaking in the sights is just heart warming.
Besure to stop over to my blog http://pegbaker.blogspot.com/ and leave me a comment to be entered into a give away on Day 25....enjoy the season.

Simply beautiful

I just love the simply beauty of weathered worn wood, houses, old barns falling down brings great heartfelt emotions of dreaming-of it's past-life that once breathed in and out of the people who once walked and lived among these beauties. This photo is of my mother-in-laws back door to her home, I love it!!!

With winter blowing and falling down upon us, I must admit I am dreaming of Spring, love my mothers olde watering can with the wild daisy's growing. And I am dreaming of yard sales and flea markets again, one of my favorite things to do on the weekends. Here are some goodies I picked up this past summer.
They will become part of my altered art projects or just sit on a table to be admire, these lace trims will become the star in my scrap booking layouts or home decor pillows.
Valentines will soon be upon us, I am starting to think of reds, pinks and hearts! Here is a Valentine Card I made last year that I thought I would share with you all. My mind is spinning with ideas to create with felt, fabric and papers...stay tune for more eye candy to come.
Thanks Peggy Lee

The beauty of fall, still amazes me every year. Here are some pics of my visit up home to my mom's home in Fort Fairfield, Maine. Love these dried up sunflowers-even after pure beauty is gone they still sing look at me I am fabulous....
Preparing for the winter, this tiny bee is collecting and gathering just like we do when the weather starts to turn colder out.
And on that note, we had snow storm last week already here in New Hampshire. Of course it doesn't stay on the ground but our Mountains peaks are getting covered.

What I've been Doing!

First let me say I will be happy when May is over, what a crazy month for me. Olivia's 17th birthday, Mother's Day, and Prom wrapped up in one month way to much....end of the school year coming to a close next month and now getting the yard ready for summer and working on our flower beds and preparing a garden whoooo!!! While working in the yard my husband stumbled upon this little guy we have named him "Bill" he is leaving under our shed, I said ohhh great he is living life free under our hotel and pretty soon have a free buffet for meals....time for a fence around the garden. But Bill is so cute!!! Olivia's 17th birthday party, it got really loud with the Karaoke singing. They had a blast!!!
Olivia's Prom 2010, here she is dancing with her father before the parents had to leave for the night. It's nice for the parents get to come and see everyone before the prom starts. Great photo moments.

Olivia and Heidi getting pics done at our friends house.

I have been so busy with all this and working now my time is nuts, sorry for the lack of blogging but we are enjoying the nice weather before it's gone...here on the East Coast you take what you get because the weather changes so fast. see ya soon

Baby it's Cold Outside!!

Baby it's been a little cold here in New Hampshire!! Saturday night snow fell and left a beautiful blanket of fresh fallen snow. After church on Sunday the girls and I went out to try to build a snowman, but the snow wasn't sticky enough, so they did the best they could and he turned out really cute....
Been so busy since I came home from my mom's in Maine for Thanksgiving, the day after I got home I started working part time at a Pool store/scrapbooking store, so I have been very busy and I haven't even done my Christmas Cards yet...!!!! Christmas is right around the corner. boy...
Today I have my Ladies Quilt Group Christmas Party at my house, so I have been rushing to decorate and clean and I still need to make a homemade item to exchange...ahhhhh but I know I will be done way before they get here.
Happy Holidays,
Peggy Lee

Where did my time go?

This morning I had some free time so I decided to look at my blog, wow I haven't posted in a long time, please forgive me for neglecting my blog, I have been very busy. Which is no excuse but I know my prim friends will understand. I have been looking for a job, money is very tight and we just got me a new car (well old but new to me) I have been without a car for 4 months so I am very happy but with that now we have a house payment and two car payments oh and teenagers. Anyway I have been applying for jobs but no calls, which stresses me out my husband says we will be fine honey, so I had coffee with a dear friend and she said Peggy you have great talent and stuff to create you need to start selling your stuff and we need to travel and do some craft shows, I agree so I am going to embark on that task and if God blessing me with a job that will be great, I also teach crafting workshops which I need to schedule some and get busy. I know I will not get rich but it's the extras that kill me, because we can't but God has always supplied our needs and we are greatful for that. And continue to rely on Him.

Ok to update you with some pics of my busy two weeks:

The first pic is the fall table runner I made for a show-n-tell for my quilt group, love the pumpkins. The next one well is our baby Sasha and she keeps us busy and drives our other two cats nuts, the other day I was sweeping in the living room ran my broom under the sofa and out flying by was a dead mouse and dust bunnies, she hid the mouse under the sofa to hid it from the other cats who never go under there. I was not happy to pick it up, but ways glad she killed it. Then last week we woke up to a winter wonderland, a snowstorm it was beautiful but way to early it didn't last. The last pic is of my husband and Emilee walking into the apple orchard we went to get apples it was a very dark and deary day oh and very cold.... but I do love this pic I am planning on making it black and white. More to share when I get my thoughts together and a project to share. thanks for stopping by.

more colors of fall

the many colors of fall, even in the sky the clouds take on their own colors of beauty.

Colors of Fall

cute pumpkin cards I made a few days ago. love the glitter one....
Here is a scarf I made this past weekend while I was sick with a fever and stuck on the couch watching tv, so I knitted this and it's cute if I say so, plus it fits in with fall.
