The next photo is of my nephew craving his first deep fried turkey and soooooo good tasting the best turkey I have had...can't wait for the next family gathering.
And of course we stayed in on New Years which I think alot of people do for safety reasons..it was storming here in New Hampshire, my daughter Emilee and I made it till midnight. Lee was in to much pain to stay up any longer, Emilee and I had a blast, we watched a musical and celebrated together..

Life's Moments

My title for this post is life moments for a very emotional heartfelt meaning that I hold dear to my heart. See this photo is of my husband Lee and I, early this year just a few days after our 18th year anniversary. Last week Lee was schedule for Rotor Cuff surgery, it was suppose to be an easy two hour surgery which ended up being over five hours and complications to follow. Lee had suffered a little heart failure while in surgery...he had pasted all the test to see if you can handle surgery, no one expected this to happen. He didn't fully wake up from this surgery for over three and half hours, complaining he couldn't breath-to find out his lungs had filled up with fluid from being on his side for a long time (which later we found out his heart wasn't working well enough for the lungs to work). The next day he was sent down to a bigger Hospital for a heart procedure to see if Lee had any blockages in his heart...and after a few hours the surgeons found he had 3 blockages and a narrowing of a y shape one, so another four hour surgery to put in stents and relieve his heart and lungs...all this to say I am happy to report he is home now recovering not only from one simple surgery but two big ones.
So for this Thanksgiving our family is so thankful to have Lee, honey, daddy with us for more happy moments to share. (you see the doctors told us that it was a good thing he had shoulder surgery for we would have never known about his heart and with the percentages of blockages Lee had he wouldn't have survived an heart attack.) wow that spoke volumes to me, hit me like a ton of bricks...I was strong for my daughters, but truthfully when alone in my bed late into the night I would cry and thank the Lord for keeping Lee with us...I will slow down and value life more with my family, and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my prim friends!!!!!! enjoy life's simple moments and share them

Where did my time go?

Our first cook out and camp fire for the year, we have been so super busy since prom passed us. Right into end of school finials, pool season started at work and really busy there. With graduations and parties life needs to slow down. But as you can see in the next photo life doesn't slow down when you get a snake visiting you in your dishwasher....eeekkkk
Isn't he kind of cute, not!!!!! He must of came in the house on the tomato plants we brought in for the night. Lee but him back outside, the poor little guy didn't like Lee kept on biting or trying to bite Lee's hand, his little mouth just couldn't fit on his finger.
Memorial Day our town has a little parade and Lee is one of the guys firing the rifle, it was a beautiful day and then we had friends over for a cookout. Now the tears start to flow, here is our youngest daughter Emilee graduating from 8th grade, she even received an award. We are so proud of her.

Emilee and her father. love this photo, daddy was so proud of his little girl. Boy they grow up was too fast. Now both our girls will be in High School, one a Freshmen and one a Senior.

I have been getting the bug to create some more primitive items, a line of cards would be nice, and some stitchery. I hope to create some over the summer. Enjoy your family and friends with a cool ice tea and a slice of watermelon.

Glitter is a flying!!!

The glitter was flown onto the floor for little miss kittie to run through it!! Glitter world I have been busy in, getting ready for the holidays, and working on some new artwork.

Christmas tag/ornament made from a coaster from our local rest. 99 which I turned into cuteness!! This could go on a tree, or gift or be a present itself.
Our Hero layout is of my mom (who had a major stroke a few years back) my daughters just love how strong and how grammie never gives up. ok the tears are coming so enough of that.

Where did my time go?

This morning I had some free time so I decided to look at my blog, wow I haven't posted in a long time, please forgive me for neglecting my blog, I have been very busy. Which is no excuse but I know my prim friends will understand. I have been looking for a job, money is very tight and we just got me a new car (well old but new to me) I have been without a car for 4 months so I am very happy but with that now we have a house payment and two car payments oh and teenagers. Anyway I have been applying for jobs but no calls, which stresses me out my husband says we will be fine honey, so I had coffee with a dear friend and she said Peggy you have great talent and stuff to create you need to start selling your stuff and we need to travel and do some craft shows, I agree so I am going to embark on that task and if God blessing me with a job that will be great, I also teach crafting workshops which I need to schedule some and get busy. I know I will not get rich but it's the extras that kill me, because we can't but God has always supplied our needs and we are greatful for that. And continue to rely on Him.

Ok to update you with some pics of my busy two weeks:

The first pic is the fall table runner I made for a show-n-tell for my quilt group, love the pumpkins. The next one well is our baby Sasha and she keeps us busy and drives our other two cats nuts, the other day I was sweeping in the living room ran my broom under the sofa and out flying by was a dead mouse and dust bunnies, she hid the mouse under the sofa to hid it from the other cats who never go under there. I was not happy to pick it up, but ways glad she killed it. Then last week we woke up to a winter wonderland, a snowstorm it was beautiful but way to early it didn't last. The last pic is of my husband and Emilee walking into the apple orchard we went to get apples it was a very dark and deary day oh and very cold.... but I do love this pic I am planning on making it black and white. More to share when I get my thoughts together and a project to share. thanks for stopping by.

Winter Wonderland Not!!

Hi bloggers, this post finds me with a (winter wonderland) of drywall dust, even though we put up plastic to cover the doorways the dust gets everywhere, but I am not complaining I can't wait for our living room walls to be done, they are primed and ready to paint. It's the clean up that's a killer. And our little helper Sasha our baby kitten was right in the thick of it all, let's just say she was a different color for some time!! Isn't she so cute..

Now I am still cleaning up dust, and more likely will be for awhile. I will post the pictures of the living room done completely hopefully in about a week.

I was shocked to see on the calendar that my girls only have about unless then 3 weeks until school goes back in. I am not ready to buy school supplies, teenagers are more expensive. I am closing my eyes and hoping it's a dream.

I will get back to posting when the dust settles. ahhh

Around the House/ Birthday art

Here a few pics of around our house, we are in the process of redoing the living room walls, the only walls that wasn't done (besides our bedroom) that wasn't finished when we bought this house a year ago. It's been a slow process with work, kids and of course bills. (van breaking down two days after Christmas) ok got that off my chest. So now onto the colors, that has been a battle in it self, oh man the color choices a person has CRAZY, we have chosen I think (pine needle green, dark cranberry, almond oil tan color)
The last pic is of some yard sale finds from a while ago.
SNEAK PEAK AT MY BIRTHDAY ART I DID FOR MYSELF. (oops left the caps on)

Father's

Here is a scrapbook layout I will be teaching this fall at our Annual Women's Fall Retreat, this is my husband Lee when a young boy with his father Carl (who is no longer with us but we miss him). Teaching the ladies how to scrapbook in a plain frame. I thought with Father's Day coming up this weekend, it was something to share. Let's remember the men in our lives and honor the ones gone before us.

June is a hard month for me, mostly because it host Father's Day and my Father's Birthday at the same time.
Here is a picture of my father George Tilley Sr. he was in the Navy, he has passed away and is resting since 1994, but June is bittersweet for me. Lots of wonderful memories of my dad, also it's my birthday month to. To think about him seeing me born and holding me in the same month is heart breaking. I love my father and miss him deeply.
Let's remember to celebrate our fathers even if they are gone from us now we can still remember and celebrate them.
