What to Make?

Today started out chilly and a little snow fell, with that today is our Quilt Group Gathering and I am trying to figure out what to make, or start or where to begin. I need to start on my Christmas Homemade, Handmade Gifts and some new decor for our new home. And I am drawing up blanks, I think it's because my plate is full, to much going on at once and this Holiday Season is already filling up fast. I can't believe it is November already, Christmas is in 49 days Oh My!!
Well I need to go find a project to start, finish working on my Scrapbook Workshop that is next week and I have a sick kid home today. Wow it starts....Watch out there might be snow in the morning. ahhhh

sick of being sick

just a short note, the title speaks for it all....
Monday I felt fine, had a stamping class, created all day, then Tuesday woke up with a cough and sore throat, fever. Wednesday woke up fine nothing, was I dreaming, my chest still felt heavy but no cough. Thursday fine all day, stamped enjoyed friends, cooked a roasted chicken dinner great evening stamped some more.
This morning couldn't wake up over slept my man didn't get his morning coffee, came down stairs with my pillow and slept some more on the sofa my poor girls (teenagers) got themselves to school. I stumbled to the coffee pot, now the cough is back worse, sore throat, ears hurt, very tired. I am so sick of this.
That's what my week has been, I am going to try to make some salt dough snowmen heads today hopefully....

Where did my time go?

This morning I had some free time so I decided to look at my blog, wow I haven't posted in a long time, please forgive me for neglecting my blog, I have been very busy. Which is no excuse but I know my prim friends will understand. I have been looking for a job, money is very tight and we just got me a new car (well old but new to me) I have been without a car for 4 months so I am very happy but with that now we have a house payment and two car payments oh and teenagers. Anyway I have been applying for jobs but no calls, which stresses me out my husband says we will be fine honey, so I had coffee with a dear friend and she said Peggy you have great talent and stuff to create you need to start selling your stuff and we need to travel and do some craft shows, I agree so I am going to embark on that task and if God blessing me with a job that will be great, I also teach crafting workshops which I need to schedule some and get busy. I know I will not get rich but it's the extras that kill me, because we can't but God has always supplied our needs and we are greatful for that. And continue to rely on Him.

Ok to update you with some pics of my busy two weeks:

The first pic is the fall table runner I made for a show-n-tell for my quilt group, love the pumpkins. The next one well is our baby Sasha and she keeps us busy and drives our other two cats nuts, the other day I was sweeping in the living room ran my broom under the sofa and out flying by was a dead mouse and dust bunnies, she hid the mouse under the sofa to hid it from the other cats who never go under there. I was not happy to pick it up, but ways glad she killed it. Then last week we woke up to a winter wonderland, a snowstorm it was beautiful but way to early it didn't last. The last pic is of my husband and Emilee walking into the apple orchard we went to get apples it was a very dark and deary day oh and very cold.... but I do love this pic I am planning on making it black and white. More to share when I get my thoughts together and a project to share. thanks for stopping by.

My New Hair Duo!!

This last one is my new profile pic, I love having my hair short, it's been a few years, love my hair long, but I needed a change, like the changing of a new season.
My hair is very thick and curly, curly. So the weight on my head was starting to bother me and I need something short and sassy for a pick my spirits up. And a new duo did it. Love it.
Wow 3 post in one day see I have missed my prim friends. Lot's to come soon..

more summer pics.

First Day of School, the girls look so grown up Emilee is 13th going into the 8th grade and Olivia is 16 going into her Junior Year (as class President) mommy is so proud.

Time Flies when Fall Sets in!!

Wow the time has flown by since that last time I did a post. Sorry for not blogging, we have been so very busy with finishing the living/dining room walls and painting walls and all the trim, and the clean up well lets just say we are still cleaning up.
Along with back to school shopping and trying to get some summer fun in before school started, and then our local Lancaster Fair the next town over which runs through labor day weekend. Then schools start the very next day, plus soccer practice, field hockey games, school meetings. Boy I have to stay home just to be the taxi driver for my girls. Then with everyday things, house cleaning, shopping, laundry, oh yeah did I mention laundry.ahh
Plus Sunday School starting last Sunday and I am teaching again, plus getting ready for a fall class in scrapbooking in a picture frame class that I am doing. I am way busy but I like it. Now I am trying to finish up a schedule for a Holiday Open House (here at my home) to sell some of my creations and teach make n takes cards, scrapbook layouts. Life in the Baker home is full and fun!!
Here are some pics to share with you our end of summer fun...enjoy..

Here is the little guy Shawn who Olivia babysat for over a week, they had so much fun together, many tears shed by both when goodbyes where done, oh sweet.

Olivia learning how to drive, my hair is turning gray.!!!!

Sorry for not blogging.

I have been away for a short time, we have been busy finishing up the living room and dining room walls, they look great when I am done decorating I will post some pics. We still have some trim left and some paint touch ups.
But I have my creative place back, my studio/craft room was hosting the living room furniture, so now I have to clean up that mess, and hopefully be able to starting creating again. Now we are near the end of summer and our girls are getting ready for back to school, soccer already started and my oldest is the class president for her Junior year, she has already started with school meetings. It's going to be a busy year I can see already.
I have been a little sick, I have fibromyaligia and virago, so I have had a flair up and been dizzy for over two weeks. Maybe all the painting and up and down off of chairs flared up my virago. I am getting better.
Well fall is here in the East Coast, with cool crisp mornings, warm afternoons, and cold evenings I think summer has ended. Sad because we really didn't have a summer; but I love fall I just wish it was longer.
More to come now that I am getting back to a schedule.

Winter Wonderland Not!!

Hi bloggers, this post finds me with a (winter wonderland) of drywall dust, even though we put up plastic to cover the doorways the dust gets everywhere, but I am not complaining I can't wait for our living room walls to be done, they are primed and ready to paint. It's the clean up that's a killer. And our little helper Sasha our baby kitten was right in the thick of it all, let's just say she was a different color for some time!! Isn't she so cute..

Now I am still cleaning up dust, and more likely will be for awhile. I will post the pictures of the living room done completely hopefully in about a week.

I was shocked to see on the calendar that my girls only have about unless then 3 weeks until school goes back in. I am not ready to buy school supplies, teenagers are more expensive. I am closing my eyes and hoping it's a dream.

I will get back to posting when the dust settles. ahhh
